ABOUT GROWING STRONG
Growing Strong Sexual Assault Center believes in the equality of all persons. Our mission is to provide healing services to victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse, and their significant others, and to educate the community in an effort to end violence and victimization.

Growing Strong views itself as a social change organization engaged in a process to eliminate violence in our society. Thus, the most important goal of Growing Strong must be to achieve its own non-existence thereby ensuring that its objectives are not self-serving.

Established in 1985, Growing Strong is a not-for-profit organization. Funding is provided by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, The Illinois Department of Human Services, The Illinois Attorney General’s Office , and the Macon County Mental Health Board.
