VOLUNTEER ADVOCATE
Volunteer Advocates run the 24-hour hotline on nights and
weekends, providing immediate contact, information, assistance
and support to victims and significant others.
Volunteer Advocates are required to complete
40 hours of training through Growing Strong. Upon completion
volunteers will begin carrying a pager and providing legal/medical
advocacy and crisis intervention to sexual assault/abuse
victims and their significant others.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Board members are recruited from throughout our five-county
service area. They serve a three-year term. Board members
are encouraged to complete 42-hour training.
FUNDRAISING
Volunteers provide assistance with special fundraising events
during the year. Bingo is our major fundraiser, and volunteers
work Monday nights at the Majestic Hall in Mt. Zion, IL.
AUXILIARY VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers assist the agency with projects such as newsletters,
building and yard maintenance, ribbon assembly, and distribution
of promotional materials.
